Terms of Service — BotLance

1. Who We Are & Acceptance of Terms

BotLance ("the Service") is operated by Noor Hussain ("we", "us", "our"), an individual operator. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. You can contact us using the details at the end of these terms.

2. The Service

BotLance provides an AI chatbot platform that lets businesses train an AI assistant on their own knowledge base, deploy it on their website, and capture leads. Features and limits depend on your selected plan.

3. Accounts & Responsibility

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you add, for maintaining the confidentiality and security of your account credentials, and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date.

4. Acceptable Use

You must not misuse the Service. This includes, without limitation: using it for any unlawful purpose; fraud or spam; infringing the intellectual property or rights of others; uploading malware; probing, scanning, or interfering with the security or integrity of the Service; or scraping the platform. As this is a generative-AI product, you are responsible for your prompts, how you use the AI's outputs, verifying their accuracy, and ensuring you have the rights to any content you input. You must not use the AI to generate illegal, harmful, deceptive, or abusive content.

5. Subscriptions, Plans & Billing

BotLance is offered on subscription plans with usage limits that apply per plan. Paid plans renew automatically for the selected billing period until cancelled. You may upgrade, downgrade, or cancel your plan at any time; cancellation stops future billing but does not automatically refund amounts already paid. For payment, billing, tax, cancellation, and refund mechanics, please also refer to Paddle's Buyer Terms and our Refund Policy.

6. Merchant of Record

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle handles payment processing, billing, taxes, and refunds, and provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns in relation to your purchases.

7. Intellectual Property

We retain all ownership of the Service and its intellectual property, including the software, documentation, and branding. You retain ownership of the content and knowledge you upload, and you grant BotLance a limited licence to host and process this content solely to operate the Service for you. Data is stored securely with per-business isolation.

8. AI Output

AI responses are generated automatically and may occasionally be inaccurate or incomplete. The Service is not a substitute for professional advice, and you are responsible for reviewing and supervising how the AI represents your business.

9. Suspension & Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account that violates these Terms or our platform rules, abuses the Service, engages in fraudulent activity, presents a security or fraud risk, fails to pay, or uses the platform for unlawful purposes. Suspended or terminated accounts may lose access to the platform and the data within it, and may not be eligible for refunds.

10. Service Availability & Warranties

While we work hard to keep BotLance reliable, we do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" without implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.

11. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
